As I have read a whopping 30 books this year even picking out five seemed like it wasn’t even worth the point and hassle to make a list. I am pretty sure there is some I forgot to track. There is a big gap during the time I was having a hell of a time with a lot of things. But I pulled out my trusty Rock Your Reading 2018 by Sarah’s Bookshelves and according to the spreadsheet I had a pretty good reading list. I may not have read a lot but the quality of books was on the most part was outstanding.
So now let take a look at what Five books That I thought were worth the hype
This has received mixed reviews especially the audiobook. Even me I could not for the life of me understand what people were saying on the audiobook and gave up after one hour. I hate feeling as I am in the audiologist office doing a hearing test when I am listening to an audiobook so I was all like hell with it. My audiologist told me that my listening skills were developing and I would understand stuff better and better then in the fall I decided to take a chance, and I COULD UNDERSTAND IT!! And the audio version blew me away.
Oh, Zombies.. Beth Fish Reads reviewed this on her blog, and Scribd had it on audio. The audiobook blew me away. The accents people had in the book were spot on. I was amazed as I seen some people not from the south try and do a southern and it was bad bad bad. Plus Zombies!
Oh, be still my nerdy fangirl side. I received this as an ARC. It is a retelling of Cinderella and I thought it was done beautifully. I could relate to all the nerdy stuff in this book. It was right up my alley.
The book blogs were all buzzing about this book. I saw it on the audible romance package and decided t give it a try. I usually am like Ewwww with the romance books I dunno why this year I read a whole 15 percent on them. Anyway, the book was so cute and sweet and it deserved all the hype it received before publication.
I have to admit that at first, this book confused the hell out of me. Then once I figured out that everything is in the dudes head, I was like ahhh. It seemed so real it was written that well. I know this book was released and had a lot of hype a couple of years ago, but it WAS hyped up, so I included it.
Well, there you have it the five books that I read this year that was worth the hype. I just realized that were all audiobooks and all YA. Maybe instead of the zombie fandom, I should join the YA one. Or enter a YA Zombie one I mean there have to be YA people that were turned into zombies right??? RIGHT?!?!
