The first part of September was pretty much like any other month. I was feeling ok. Not really happy or anything but I felt like I couldn’t complain. I had a roof over my head, and I had food and shit so really I was better off than a lot of people.
Then things changed
It turned out that one of the meds that I was taking for my bipolar was making my heart skip beats so they had to take me off of the Geodon and they put me on Abilify. I had learned to have low expectations of Bipolar Meds. I always felt that none of them did anything. I could go, and do stuff, but it was like pulling teeth. Blogging everything. I thought that the meds I was on were the best I had every hope to feel. I did not want to die of a massive heart attack, so I agreed to make the switch. And I am here to tell that the Abilify is the best damn med EVAR! I was like a new person. I started putting myself out there for my freelancing gigs and my work EXPLODED. It was like I had been given a new lease on life. I feel like super Hillary.
I have had to learn how to better mange my time as I have a lot more clients now. That’s why this site has been neglected. I think I have a handle on things now so that I can blog more here. I know last month was not my best month for blogging. Here is what I managed:
- [1 Aug] Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn ★★★★★
- [2 Aug] Sunday Salon 8-1-205
- [3 Aug] Goals for August 2015
- [4 Aug] Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin
- [13 Aug] Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix, Michael Rogalski ★★★★★
- [14 Aug] Geek Girls Unite by Leslie Simon ★★★
- [16 Aug] Sunday Salon 8-16-2015
- [21 Aug] A New Earth (Oprah #61) by Eckhart Tolle ★★★★★
- [22 Aug] My Library Haul August 15 2015
ehh. I have some ideas for this month as it feels like my brain is waking up from a deep slumber. I am writing lots again, and it feels great. I mean it is October and dark and rainey, but I want to scream LIFE IS SOOOO GOOOOD!!!
I am reading Pema Chodron When Things Falls Apart, and that is what I feel like. Like Bipolar broke me but now I am put back together, and I am stronger than ever before. This book is speaking to me. I can’t wait to do my review.
I am writing this on Saturday afternoon, so I am not sure what will be doing on Sunday when you read this. I promised a client that I would have a finished copy of her website on Monday. I sent her the first draft and am waiting to hear back. I hope to read, and I have an appt on the phone with my new accountant. Yes, things are so good now that I need an accountant. I have goals and shit now. That is for a later post. I am not quite sure what to expect, but I hope it goes well.
What have you all been reading? Any Scary Stories yet?
