From the Trade Paperback edition.

I had not planned on telling y’all about this book. I mean it is very informative, but it is as dry as the Sahara in July. Even the Audiobook put me to sleep a few times.

BUT

The information that it contains is valuable. I have been on a health kick this year. I even cleaned up my eating habits In an effort to take back control of my health. It seems as if I am the last person that has read The Magnesium Miracle. It felt as if everyone that i knew had read and loved this book for the information that it contained. Then people go on about how they start dring Natural Calm and feel a billion times better. Some people claimed that Natural Calm would help my anxiety. It is nicknamed Natures Xanax after all.  We all know how bad my anxiety gets so I went on Amazon and ordered myself some Natural Calm. I picked the Leomande flavor cause I thought I could pretend it was summer already but the Natural Calm did not pass as lemonade, but that is a whole other post.

I downloaded the audiobook from Scribd and sat in to learn all about magnesium. Seventeen long hours of hearing the excellent stuff magnesium does in your body to the author trying to push her product ReMag on listeners. The part of her repeating over and over that HER product will not cause you to shit your pants seriously grated on my nerves. But I was willing to suffer if it meant that it would help my symptoms such as my anxiety.

I was so annoyed by “my product ReMag is absorbed in the cellar level and will not produce the dreaded shits that I ordered the Natural Calm brand and felt smug about doing so. This was back in early February, and I have found that I need three servings a day One at Breakfast, one at Lunch and one at Bedtime. I have yet to shit in my pants, but if you DO end up with the “laxative effect,” then you are consuming too much Natural Calm and need to cut down.

I have been drinking Natural Calm for three months now and OMG I can tell a HUGE difference! Yes, I had my doubts, but I figured it was worth a try and I am sooo glad that I jumped on the magnesium bandwagon.

Although I feel a million times better, I am not going to claim that it is the cure all be all to my anxiety. I mean I DO have schizo-affective disorder, and without hard work and meds, I would be in a group home.  What it DOES do I feel that it gives everything else a boost, so that I am more able to focus on other strategies to cope. I like to imagine that in the ocean of anxiety that the Natural Calm is like a life vest. The life vest is not going to save you all by itself. You still have to find a way to the shore. What It WILL do is help you stay afloat long enough to get other better help.

My only regret is not starting Magnesium supplements sooner. Also, a word of caution, not all magnesium supplements are right. Some are nothing but filler materials. In this case, going for a  trusted name brand is crucial. Some brands don’t ever get absorbed into the body and that makes it worthless. I can vouch for the natural calm as that is what I use. Just don’t go in Wal-Mart and grab a cheap version off the shelf. There are times to save money but this is not one of them.
