On Memorial Day, the military had a service to hon On Memorial Day, the military had a service to honor all the veterans who had died. My Uncle Danny Vanover is buried in this cemetery. These are the pictures that I feel are the best out of. I don’t know how many I took. He died in January, and it still feels like yesterday that we had his funeral. I still can’t wrap my head around losing both uncles ten months apart. I am still processing both of them passing on, and my therapist says that there is no time limit on grief, and for that, she is right. I take it one day at a time.

It took me a while to figure out my word of the ye It took me a while to figure out my word of the year, but I finally came up on a word. It is a revival. Before you ask no, I did not become super religious but I DO feel that over the past couple year as I was healing from a multitude of things: spirituality, physical and emotional and know it is time to step out and rejoin humanity.⁣I may sound dramatic but the year before I had weathered a series of happenings that felt like it could drag me far, far down into the abyss of depression but i had lacked self-care in the past couple of years and that was the biggest reason it took me a whole year to really recuperate and to come back in a better place. To be honest, I almost I was about to just toss this aside after I got bad news a few years a go. Then I remembered my therapist that told me that there always be problems and there never would be a “right time” for anything. Then I understood I need to get my act in order to thrive no matter what came my way. So my life at the moment may not be all roses and sunshine but if I practice my self care, then I can stay healthy and in a good place with my mental health. I have worked very hard to attain and in the end I am much better able to be a better person who people can depend on.
