I haven’t done much in the way in reading challenges in the past couple of years. I feel like I have fallen into a rut with my reading so I thought why not follow some challenges this year. I even broke down and bought the UBB Challenges add-on from Noze Graze I want to stretch myself in ways that would not be possible on my own. So here are the ones I have signed up for
Read My Own Damn Books
Seriously if you knew how many books I owned but did not read, you would cry. I REALLY need to read the books that I paid money for. I know money spent on books are not wasted but still. I aim to read 50 of my own books this year.
Read Harder Challenge
I could not find a graphic for this one so if you know of one let me know! This looks like one that will stretch me in ways that I did not think possible. I am already stumped on some of the categories but I am best friends with the local library and I know they will help me out.
2016 Woman Challenge
I know I read a lot of books by white male authours and I want to change that this year. I am a bad feminist indeed. I am going for level 2 Girl Power.
Non-Fiction Reading Challenge 2016
I love me some non-fiction but I usually tend to go for the science fiction stuff. So in order to help me read more nonfiction I am joining this challenge. I am going for the Master Leval.
There was one more I saw about diversity but I can’t seem to find it now. Does anyone know which one I am talking about?
Your reading challenges sound good! Will the plug in you purchased show your progress on your website? If so, where will we, your readers, see the progress? Good luck!
I’ve been on and off about whether I should sign up for that nonfiction reading challenge. Perhaps I should just do it. But I’ve already dived into SO many challenges!
yeajh I know what you mean. I am hoping that so many challenges will help me think outside of my comfort reading zone.
I know the #DiverseDecember crew extended it to Diverse 2016 https://twitter.com/ReadDiverse2016 but I don’t think it’s an official challenge, just a way to promote and celebrate reading diversly via Twitter https://twitter.com/ReadDiverse2016
Good luck with your challenges, I’m trying to read a classic, a non-fiction and a graphic novel each month this year.
those sound like great goals! Good luck with them!
I haven’t signed up for any challenges this year except for the short New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge, but I like the sound of these!
