As I said in a previous Sunday Salon, I was having a hard time with depression. I got my meds up and now I feel hundred times better! The big news is that I had a tooth pulled on Thursday and I was so nervous they gave me an anxiety pill. It hurt at first but the dentist numbed it some more and it went fine. They gave me some good meds and I have been reading a lot since then. Mostly ON THE ROAD. It is freaky reading it when stoned but I think thats the best way to read all of the beat books.
I am starting the ARTIST WAY again this week. I started it back in January but for some reason did not keep up with it so I will start it again this week. I am hoping it can help unblock my creativity. I feel stuck on what to write about on the freelance side of things so we will see how that goes.
I did the read a thon for a few hours yesterday but the pill made me sleep a lot so it was probably the worst I have ever done but who keeping score right?
AS for today I am going to hopefully get through ON THE ROAD and then start on STOP THE INSANITY. The paleo diet has fallen by the wayside. I was discussing with a in real life friend on how we are both sick of dieting and she found the book STOP THE INSANITY and we are going to try it and see. We are both nervous as it calls for eating more food but the author has managed to keep the for a book the weight off for 25 years so there must be something to it right? Wish us luck!
Oh does anyone have any recs for a book that will mindfuck you? The weirder the better! I am looking for books that are so…out there that it leaves you with the feeling of WHAT DID I JUST READ? I really need an escape from reality. ha
