Hi everyone!! I hope you had a gret Christmas! Santa brought me a Kindle Fire HDX! I was just hoping for the HD 7 but Santa really outdone himself. I have spent the last three days playing with it and I am impressed. I watched movies on it and OMG the picture was so clear and no buffering at all. I then tried Skype and it worked so well I could actually lip read people on it.
As for the actual reading apps (which is why I wanted a Kindle Fire in the first place) it is a million times better than my Nook. I can connect with Goodreads and Twitter and do all sorts of neat things with it. I am still testing the features out. I will write a post later with my full thoughts. I must say I am thoroughly in love with it so far.
This last couple weeks have been a lot better than this year has been. As bad as this year has gone I am excited for 2015. I have lots of plans and like I said I am not allowing the DR to mess with my medicine again so I should stay well for the WHOLE YEAR. I am making some drastic changes in the new year which I will post on Jan 1. I have decided that I need to take my happiness into my own hands and stop looking for a fix from the DR. I have also accepted that I will probably not feel euphoric and like I own the world again any time soon. That is called mania and is just as bad as depression. What I AM aiming for is contentment. I think that is perfectly doable.
This is also going to be the year I get my health back. My weight has spiraled out of control and it is even affecting my mobility. When you bend down to pick something off the floor and you tip right on over, well that is a sign. What REALLY scared me was that I live alone and had trouble getting back up. As I lay there I was like I am only 34, I should not be having this problem. I have decided I needed to settle on a life long program that I could stick to in the long haul and I settled on Weight Watchers. They now have a personal coaching program which I am hoping is just the thing I need to stick to it.
I also had a health scare with my smoking. Basically I was coughing up blood and they showed me a pic of my lungs and they were all coated in tar. The x-ray tech kept asking me, how can you even breathe? The Dr gave it to me straight. If you keep smoking coughing up blood is gonna be the least of your worries. So me and my mother went straight to walmart and got some patches. I really didn’t want to go back on Chantaix as they make me realllly nauseated. I felt like I was going to puke all day with that med. I got the highest mg they had and it has only been two days but I can feel it working. THIS IS GONNA BE THE TIME I QUIT!! If you are a smoker I urge you to go get your lungs checked and let them show you a picture. That will give in added incentive to quit. And yes I have had trouble breathing for a while but I guess I just got used to it. The Dr said all the tar will never come out BUT stopping now will greatly improve my quality of life. If any of you reading this smokes and wants to quit with me, email me and we can be buddies!
I hope everyone has a great Sunday! I will be playing with my Kindle Fire!
Kindle Fire HDX. Wooooo! Very cool…can’t wait to hear how much you’re liking it.
From others I know who have smoked for years, it’s not easy, but it can be done and I wish you the best of luck in the New Year…and all the changes you’re looking to make.
Thank You! I am loving the Kindle so far! I want to try it out more before I make a post about it tho.
