My Review: When I first saw this at the library I was all like I NEED this book. I don’t mean to cause conflict but some one makes me mad or offends me or something and there goes my mouth which causes more trouble than there was to start with. As a Christian I know darn well I am supposed to live in peace but it still eludes me. I mean I will have it for a short period of time then will find myself caught up in another drama that I probably in all honesty caused. So of course this book should have had blinking lights and a big arrow with HILLARY, READ ME!
I brought it home and opened it up and read to see how I could live in peace and have good relationships with people. To be honest I was hoping for some radical new advice that I haven’t heard yet. And I have heard EVERYTHING. Like I said my mouth gets me into lots of problems and everyone and their mother had told me ways I could change. Well this book was full of the same old advice. This disappointed me until I thought about it and realized that time-worn and tested advice probably has some truth in it. So I hunkered down and really took notes and thought about the message. This may come as a shock to some people but I really do want to not be in a crisis every few weeks.
It has been a couple weeks since I read this and already I can see a difference. One of the biggest things that I changed and do is instead of calling people an idiot to their face I tell God they are an idiot and then my anger calms down.
If you are like me and find you need to get a handle on how to live in peace then this is the book for you.
