An engaging and relatable novel for the digital age that perfectly captures the complicated interaction between what goes on in our real lives and what we say online.

Internet sensation Madison Nakama has it all! Her pop-culture rewatch site has a massive following, and fans across the world wait on her every post and tweet. And now Laurent, a fellow geek (and unfairly HOT French exchange student!), has started flirting with her in the comments section of her blog. But Laurent’s not the only one watching for Madi’s replies...

Internet fame has a price, and their online romance sparks the unwanted attention of a troll. When Madi’s “real life” hits a rough patch, she feels her whole world crumbling. With Laurent’s support, can Madi rally her friends across the globe to beat the troll, or will he succeed in driving her away from everything—and everyone—she loves?

Internet Famous is a fresh, contemporary young adult romance for the iGeneration from Danika Stone, author of All the Feels.

Praise for All the Feels:

"This is an insider’s look into the life of a fangirl. ... Liv’s experiences with fandom will resonate with many teens, but it is her struggles to understand her goals for the future, her feelings for Xander, and even the drudgery of college that will compel teens to stick with this story." —School Library Journal

“Anyone who's ever been involved in fandom will be squeeing and nodding vigorously from the very first page. I know I was.” —Kim Karalius, author of Love Charms and Other Disasters

“If you’ve ever been part of a fandom, you’ll get it . . . and love it.” —Karole Cozzo, author of How to Say I Love You Out Loud

"I fell in love with this story! Well written, funny, with a side of romance. Liv and Xander are great. Real friends with the ups and downs all friends have. I was laughing and cringing as I read. This book definitely captures the feel of all consuming fandom can be, but there's a real heart to its message. Totally loved it!" —Mara M., reader on SwoonReads.com

As much as I wanted to like this book…it fell flat for me. While I could relate to what was going on in the book, I mean I blog, so I could relate to a lot of what was going on. Still, this book got on my nerves. I hated the filler posts and I hated the hashtags they came up with on what is obviously a Tumblr blog. I mean don’t they know that a real blog is on WordPress. Plus the gash tags that they come up with would never be used on a real live blog. It was almost as if a 60-year-old was trying to mimic today’s 20 something.

I really and truly wanted this book to work. I loved the descriptions of the book on NetGalley. I loved the IDEA of the book so much that I failed to DNF the damn book in the hopes that it would be better on the next page. It was not. It makes me angry of all the time I will not get back reading Internet Famous. One thing it had going for it was the mystery and the sorta romance in it. I thought the book was gonna end on a high note and eagerly read on but the end was a big fat NOPE. Even the damn villain wasn’t all that bad. There was like maybe a 5 pages of tension and where you think the author has finally got her grove and then you turn the page and it was all anti-climatic. It should be a crime to get readers hopes up then crush them into the ground.

I really wanted to love INTERNET FAMOUS but it fell flat for me.Click To Tweet

Speaking of filler blog posts and all that stuff WHERE THE HELL WAS THE EDITOR when she was writing the book? How do some of these people even GET published? If you know let me know cause I really really want to know how books such as Internet Famous became published works.

That said I bet this book could have been saved if only she had a decent editor. For example the hashtags…At least look up some Tumblr blogs and see what hashtags they use instead of coming up with half-assed hashtags that looks like taking ten sec to look up hashtags was too much effort.

This could have been a really good book if only it was in the hands of a more capable editor. I was so sad to see what had looked like an enjoyable reading experience turn out to be a dud.
