If you have been following me on Instagram ( if not why not this is my Instagram handle) you would know that I have given up on both paleo and Weight Watchers. In January I started the Bikini Body Guide, and my life is forever changed.
The plan comes with a meal plan. You can check if you are on a standard diet or if you are a vegan or something. I checked standard hoping they Kangaroo did not appear. So far it has not so crosses fingers
Then there are the workouts; There is no way to accurately describe them except to say they are super hard and you will pull muscles that you did not even know you had. You will be sore.
This workout pushes you to the very edge of your capabilities but that is how growth happens right?Click To TweetIf you are overweight like I am, you can modify the exercises. I googled them and did the modified version. There is no way I can do a regular burpee with my big tummy hanging out.
I know you wanna see PICTURES. Hold on I have some, but first, I want to say that I had a before pic from January of last year. I tried weight watchers for a few months, and that was a big fat failure. Then a friend had tried BBG herself and suggested that try it. She said that there was even a meal plan included. This was a relief as Counting and keeping track of points threw me off guard every single time. With BBG u follow what is in your app for the day. No thinking is no keeping track of points and wondering if u can have a dairy Queen Blixxard and not eat for the rest of the day. With BBG you merely gave no Dairy Queen Blizzards however you can have a halo top FOR YOUR CHEAT MEAL AMEAL not a cheat day. I have been doing the meal plan AND the workouts. Now on to the picture! Also, I was dumb and did not take any pics in January OR February. I finally took one the other day and then I compared them, and my very own mouth hit the floor.
The green shirt is right before my DR informed me that I weighed 320 pounds. I tried both Weight Watchers and Paleo with a tiny bit of success, but for a lot of reasons, those diets were not for me. I tried BBG, and it felt as if I was finally doing something that fitted my personality and way of life. The pink shirt is me a couple of days ago at the gym on April 5, 2018. As I have said before, I avoided the camera for a few months after I saw the pic of me in the green shirt, So I have no good pics of me for more than six months. All my pics from that time were all on the neck up.
A word of warning. BBG is fucking hard. The workouts work, but they are a killer. And you have to be CONSISTENT. This is not a magic pill that you can look at and be skinny. There were plenty of sweat and tears involved getting to this point, BUT I can feel and see myself getting stronger, and I feel as if I have finny found a program I can follow forever and ever
