I guess winter is here o stay here in Cleveland until June. It is freezing outside these days. I can’t wait till I get to my parent’s house on the 17th with their fireplace though. That is my favorite place to be is in front of moms fireplace.
I attempted to put the tree up in my apartment, but my dumb cat kept knocking it down, so I gave up on THAT. Mom says she will “throw my kitten over the hill” if he messes up HER tree. I guess I will have to be on kitten duty to make sure he stays out of trouble. Although trouble is his middle name.
I saw that Scrivener had a significant upgrade that one had to pay for..again…grits teeth I am at least hoping I can get a tax write off on it. Yes, all 50 dollars of it. LMAO. Seriously though there is nothing, I hate more than having to pay for the same thing twice. Although I am nowhere as cheap as some of the people I know, I can be a tightwad when I want to, but I NEED scrivener for my work so anyway the Scrivener people got some MORE of my moolah.
I think I have finally started to understand Asana and how to use it as a project management tool and editorial calendar. I will admit to having shiny object syndrome, but I really feel that this time I have it to where I feel confident that I won’t overlook something important. I will still use todoist for personal stuff, but Asana is for work stuff. Yes, I CAN be a control freak, why do you ask?
I have been working like crazy to beat a deadline for a major client project due on Jan 2. So not much reading going on. I am giving myself the whole month of January off. I can’t wait! I plan to sit by the fireplace and catch up on alllllll my reading.
I have started timing myself with Toggl just to see how long it takes me to write stuff. Like I found out I can type 1000 words an hour! I had no idea I had such mad typing skills. I am hoping that this will enable me to plan my days better. Like if I know I have an hour I know I can type up something during that time frame. I am an Ultra Productivity Nerd!
I have been listening to You Are a Badass at Making Money on audio! I have realized that i DO have lots and lots of hang-ups about money. I blame my Appalachian Upbringing #kiddingnotkidding I know I need to find a way past all my crap. Ahh well, I am only partway through the book so maybe it will tell me how to move past all of my shit later on in the book.
