Well, here we are one week into May. It seems the older I get, the faster time goes. For example, I could have sworn that I just did my 8 am workout a few minutes ago, but the clock tells me it is 5 pm.. and I haven’t done a thing on my to-do list that I was wanting to do today. I am going to have to start watching and being more present, or I will wake up 90 years old and my 2019 to do list will still be haunting me. Although Monday can come and go fast. My mother and I are going to Lexington ( a three-hour drive), and anyone who knows me knows I HATE long rides. I am still anxiously awaiting Star Trek technology that can beam my ass wherever I need to be. Alas, I doubt that it will be a reality before tomorrow, so I have downloaded Trudge by Shawn Chesser as an audiobook and onto my phone. I heart Zombie stories so I am hoping it can help keep my mind off the fact that I am in moving vehicle. No, I am not anxious about riding in a car I DO however get Carsick super quickly so no book I read with my eyes on this trip. If Trudge turns out to be a doozy I have downloaded some What Should I Read Next and Dirty John podcasts.

Since I am in Kentucky, I will not be going to Cleveland Clinic obviously. Soooo a new audiologist and new equipment. That is what I am truly nervous about. I mean what if they have harder drills than Cleveland did? I and I get like a 35 speech recognition score? The last time I got a 96 percent on my speech recognition, so not much room to improve but I don’t want to flop. I know that this is me just being nervous cause I can understand speech just fine but hate having to change Dr’s.

In bookish news, I finally took the leap and purchased a season pass to The Witch Who Came in From the Cold on Serial Box. I had a code for 1/2 off, so I used that to test out the platform. I hope to get to it in the next couple of weeks.

Yesterday I posted alll about my weight loss thingie. I will post every Saturday. I am hoping that by posting it will hold me accountable. If you don’t follow me on Instagram (why not?!) here is a picture I made with MyFitnessPal progress photo thingie. And no I did not know they had that feature either till I started digging around in the app. I only take a progress picture on the first day of every month as to not get depressed when I looked the same as I did last week. heh
