The app that is helping me lose 100 pounds #noom #weightloss
If you have been reading this blog a while you probably remember me losing weight then gaining it all back and then more a few times. To be honest ANY diet can work for the short term but if you are looking to KEEP the weight off for the long term ( who isn’t) you are going to have to make some permanent changes. That includes mindset changes and changing your eating habits After all you can lose 100 pounds but learning the skills that will KEEP it off is a different story.  You have seen those people who lose a shit ton then 6 months later they have gained it allll back. right?? I have been there done that.  A couple of years ago I decided that I wanted to get in the best shape of my life and maybe that would help me deal with my anxiety without having to take a med that just made me sleep. I wanted to THRIVE in life not sleep my way to the grave I lost 80 pounds that year. I tried A LOT of exercise and diet programs and hit the bull’s eye with Paleo and  BBG workouts. It was as if the weight just melted off me. Then I had my first Psoriatic Arthritis flare-up. Well, to make it super clear that was the FIRST TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE that I had felt that kind of pain. And that was the first time I HAD any symptoms of the Psoriatic Arthritis.  I did have a rash but I found out that if you use a certain skincare routine you can clear it up so for a looong time I was oblivious to what was happening in my body. Then I fell off the paleo bandwagon cause I am extremely picky and the only meat that I halfway like which was beef. I started to have trouble with walking and I feel down the self-pity hole and u guessed the weight came piling back on. I got THAT under control…mostly but since I moved and I was not living in a big northern city any longer. I realized that the nearest gym was 45 mins away and I was like NOPE. I went on the hunt to find a suitable workout program that would give results as good as BBG did.  I stumbled upon Tone it Up.  I know you are asking why TWO different programs I use the Tone it Up workout and some of their food plan . I had a hard time trying to figure out WHICH food if we went out to eat would not make me sick. I also had heard that the ration of fats and all was really important and I suck at doing macros so when I opened the Noom app I saw that it calculated everything for me I began to see what exactly was throwing me off my eating plan and as I started to eat more maco friendly foods I started to feel better and the scale moved faster.  So that was a huge plus in my book
When Noom first reached out to me I am not gonna lie I thought that this was like every other plan I have tried. I know now that the first thing that has to change to ensure that weight loss is permanent is your mindset. If you view this as a temporary “diet” until you get rich and skinny and beautiful ( we have allll been there) then yes the weight is gonna come right back. However, if you first work on your mindset then when you are most likely to cave you will already know how to defeat the most dangerous part of chasing your lifestyle..your brain.

HOW TO TO DO THAT?!?

I get you…I struggle with that very same issue. Then when I saw that noom gives you “articles” each week that covers that very same topic I was floored. FINALLY, a program that EXPLAINS how to defeat those damn food dragons. For me, it took a lot of stops and starts but over the past 2 weeks, My brain is finally started to “think” healthy. I 100 percent believe that is why the weight is coming off more easily in the past 2 weeks I have only been using the program for a few weeks but I feel that this is the BEST app for wanting to change your lifestyle to a healthier one.
