What I am reading

Off The Blog

I knew the day was coming, but I did not anticipate what it would like right now. I had the first visit with a Rheumatologist two weeks ago. He told me to be very bluntly that if I do not get my weight under control AND I had Psoriatic Arthritis, I would end up in a wheelchair reasonably soon. That was the remark that let a fire under my ass, and I became a strict gluten-free vegan. I did not anticipate just how shitty I would feel for gluten withdrawals, but lord, it was HORRIBLE.

               What I Read

Well, to be 100 percent honest, I only read this book

And listened to this book

And I am pretty proud that I listened to the book while pretending to pay attention to my new Rhemtolight. Since it, It is impossible to lipread with those damned masks and have all ASL interpreters booked to the end times, I just forced my mother to go with me, and she paid enough attention for both of us.

I ad felt like I was at a plateau with my listing skills. I wanted to listen AND understand the narrator in the background, and well, it wasn’t working as I had hoped. People tried to tell me that I was born Deaf and even to get half this far was an outlier, but I wanted a challenge. As the Dr was saying how if I did not get my weight under control, I would be in a wheelchair, and I will be damned if I give up that easy. Anyway, I realized later that my audiobook was way head than when I remembered it…then I realized HOILY SHIT I CAN UNDERSTAND THE NARRATOR!! I am now one of the select few that can go out on mundane tasks and listen to an audiobook to make it more pleasant.

Apps that I did not know that I needed until I tried them

Well, this is not exactly “new,” and I may be late to the game, but I FINALLY cracked the Notion formulas and how to get a very basic template then make it all my own. I am currently working on getting all of my blog stuff from various apps on the notion, and most I don’t mind, but my ARC’s book is a mess. I had no idea that many books could live on my kindle. Getting classifying all my ARC will take all summer, I bet, but that is ok.

What Made Me Happy Last Week

I am almost “healthy”  I still got a ton of weight to lose, but finally, the pain from my Psoriatic Arthritis is down to a dull throb. The pain WAS a 7 when I went to a new dr, but the new painkillers they gave me got it down to a two, and that alone makes me happy.

Fitness Updates

With my Psoriatic Arthritis pain is almost gone, I decided to join in on the Tone it Up 6:40 program. I am one week in, and it is kicking my ass in the best possible way. I AM less active in the blog and stuff now because I need lots of naps.  The first time I did all of this to get healthy..before my autoimmune system went haywire, it took around eight weeks to feel like my best possible self. The 6:40 program is eight weeks, so yay, in the end, there will be a healthy as Fuck Hillary!
