Bloggiesta to do list

                                           bloggiestalogosept

It is time for the Fall bloggiesta! I loved the one I did in march so I am hoping I will get as much done as I did in the spring. I need it because there are so many things I want to do with this blog but I am a klutz when it comes to WordPress. Maybe my next library book will be WordPress for dummies! Listed below are some of the things that I want to get done with this bloggiesta.

Write a review policy

Figure out how to greet people who come from twitter or someplace and encourage them to subscribe to my feed

Visit other blogs

Figure out how to optimize the SEO options available in WordPress

Figure out how to leave a comment above the comment form (does that make sense?)

Decide if I want to put links to my reviews on Goodreads or not.

I am sure as I look at others blogs I will gain ideas for my own blog so this is in no way an exhaustive list. These are just some of the things I have been wanting to do but cant figure out how to do them.

  1. I remember from Bloggiestas past that I always end up adding to my original to-do list as I visit other blogs.

Hope you have a productive weekend!

Thank You!! I hope you have a fun and productive weekend also!

  2. I’m planning on doing a lot of surfing to get ideas from other blogs, people do such cool things! I’ve always wanted a comment above the comment form too, maybe I’ll do one too if you figure out how! πŸ™‚

I still haven’t figured it out. I think I will ask in one of the twitter chats on how to do it.

  3. I’m also looking forward to learning new things. Some participant’s posts have already given me so many ideas. Fingers crossed that you get everything from the list done πŸ™‚

  4. Good luck on the SEO! If you haven’t picked a plugin yet, my favorite is WordPress SEO from Yoast. There is a wonderful tutorial at WPBeginner to help set it up. It’s what I always recommend. πŸ™‚

Thank You!! I implemented it and I HOPE i did it correctly. It seems it does more than what I was using did.

  5. I always wind up adding to my to-do list, so start small so I’m not overwhelmed. I tend to use Goodreads more than any other site, so need to update my reviews. Good luck with your goals, and have fun!

I have already added to my to do list also. I am torn between Goodreads and library thing but when push comes to shove I tend to use Goodreads more so I will go with that one.

  6. Good luck with the SEO, I’m a newbie to that too :p And a review policy is important. Have fun!

  8. I’m always, always adding to my list. It makes for a good starting point, but then the more you chat with people and visit other sites the more the wheels start turning. I’m usually making changes well after the weekend is over πŸ™‚
