This year is officially half over. Damn that went by fast. I had all these goals, but I feel like the time wintry to fast to do thermal. I know I got the same hours as everyone else, but it still felt like I lacked time to accomplish much. I am typing this on Saturday morning as a friend is coming over to help me clean my apartment and I am afraid I will be too tired later so here I am typing this and listening to Drake new album. Yes, I love rap unlike most of my friends. I think it makes excellent background music for writing.
I got the urge to deep clean and to declutter my apartment. You know the phase that many new age people say get rid of the old to make room for the new. So right now I am in the cleaning stage after I am going to on Marie my apartment. I do know that I have a lot of clothes that need to go to goodwill or someplace as I have lost so much weight that most of my clothes are way to big for me. I just hope I can find a couple of nice outfits to keep. Then I am going on three-up to buy some clothes for cheap. I need clothes cause I want to start getting dressed in “real” clothes instead of writing in my pajamas all day.
Since I have been cleaning a lot, I have listed to a lot of podcasts and listened to two audiobooks
reviews will be on the blog soon. Speaking of book reviews, I was looking at my posts from June, and I realized that I only wrote ONE review and that was for Dread Nation. I need to step up my reading game. Which brings me to this point. I am going to copy Tolstoy and the Purple Chair for July. It will be an exciting experiment, but I am looking forward to it. I plan reading these books for my first week
June was Audiobook month and was able to participate for the first time! I enjoyed listening to audiobooks plus I paid super close attention to the bloggers that are known for having good taste in audiobooks. I did not do the Instagram charge though. I will hopefully get to do that next year. Overall it was a positive experience
Starting today, I plan to stick to print books for my read a book a day challenge. I have to have audiobooks in slo-mo, so there is no way I will finish one in a day.
Well, I am off to clean, and yes I am listening to an audiobook, it is Going Bovine by Libba Bray. It is just ok for now I am hoping that it picks up soon.
