The Sunday Post September 29 2019

Hello everyone! I hope last week was good for you. I HAD been looking forward to Fall weather, and if I were still in Cleveland it would be Fall outside but alas I am here in the South, and as I type this on  Saturday Setemtemeber 28th, it is a sweltering 95 degrees with bright blue skies and not a hint of fog or mist or anything. Ah well, I got first Dibs at my library on Stephen King new book The Insitute, and I am sooo excited that I cant wait so cheerful weather be damned I am reading it this week.

GUESS WHAT?!?

I got my focus back. I was sooo afraid I had lost my laser-sharp focus forever and ever, but a few days ago I read for six hours like I used to! The only thing that I can think of is that my vitamins are working hard to give my brain the Omega 3 it needs. The last time I had this good of an attention span, I was doing Paleo and choking down some God Awful fish oil.

I finished THREE books last week. Two were audiobooks, but one was an ebook.

The audiobooks were

The ebook was

For next week I am going to aim high on my reading. I plan to read

The Institute by Stephen King cause I am a huge fan of his. I feel that he is one of the most talented authors today.

I want to finish  Tribe of Mentors today

The World according to Star Wars– I am a huge Geek so when I saw this in the Libray, I grabbed it.

For the audiobook I want to listen to Everything is Figureoutable. I have been following Marie Forleo for a long time, so when I heard she was writing a book, I pre-Orderd it with an Audible Credit.

I made a good dent in Tribes of Mentors yesterday. I liked it better than Tools of Titians ( my review) which is a relief. It was also a relief that my focus was strong enough to make it a good-sized dent. To be 100 percent honest I was almost ready to give up hope of ever being able to have laser-like focus ever again so when I started having that kind of attention last week it was a huge relief.

I seriously need to make a spreadsheet of all the books that I have cause I am starting to buy some twice. Or I will see a book that looks like something that I like, and I am just as shocked as you are to find that I already HAVE that book as an ARC!!

  1. So glad you got your focus back again! That’s interesting about the omega-3s and mental focus. I’ve been pretty unfocused recently; I’ll have to see if it works for me.

And yes, bring on the fall weather! It’s not been quite as hot here, but hot enough. Next Wednesday is supposed to get up to 95. But at least we’re getting some days in the 70s and low 80s now.

I am a seasonal reader too, and I want my weather to match my reads too. Lol. Enjoy your book despite the sunshine! 🙂

  3. I use an app called BookCollectorz to keep track of what I own.

Wishing you a great reading week

    1. Thank you soooo MUCH!! I took a look at the software and it looks like it is JUST what I need!

  4. I use LibraryThing to keep track of what I own and what I’ve read. It works for me since I usually get books at Amazon and can quickly switch windows to LibraryThing to see if I’ve already read the book. I really liked The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. It was so funny. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. I LOVED the Bookish Life of Ninia Hill!! I do have a half-assed setup on my Goodreads to keeptrack of the books I want to read but I have not put any of my ARC’s or the like and it is getting t the point that i am not even sure which books I have so I have to figure out SOMETHING.

  5. I use Goodreads as my book spreadsheet. lol!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Hillary, and the weather turns more fall-like for you. Here’s my Monthly Wrap Up – Sunday Post
