I have been a huge fan of Jay Shetty for a while. I used and still do spend hours watching every program he is on. I mean, I grew up with extreme Pentecostals here in Hillbilly Elegy land. I have always in secret been an agnostic up until I was so sick with my Schizoaffective disorder. When the DR put m eon Abilify three weeks later, I was back to my pre crazy Christian lady self, but Jat Shetty online and in his book, I can feel in my soul that this is the real deal of how to live and conduct oneself. And as a bonus, have you EVER seen someone who was a super religious dues look as happy as Jay Shetty? No, you do not. Any and I  watch his youtube channel, and he is spot on with all of his messages. When I saw that his audiobook was on Scribd, I downloaded it and thanked whoever is in charge that my Choclear Implants actually work for me… I am Deaf..have been since birth. I received ci implants like 5 years ago, I think. Noone had ANY IDEA I would do so well. It was a rough year learning how to hear an all, but after I started learning, I became my best friend from Collge, a poster child for the Alexander Gram bell people. We were/are Galludet Grads, so this was NOT a compliment. But you know what? I got a serious thrill for being able to accomplish everything that I have.

So you can imagine all that the wait what he has an accent, and you STILL understood it all?  When I said, that did none of my friends knew what to say. I think everyone was shocked by their bone because I was a Deaf person who couldn’t do shit without an interpreter. Everywhere I went, I had to have someone to interpret for me.

This audiobook represents one more accomplishment that I have made with my bionic ears.

The actual content was excellent. As I said, I really loved his YouTube videos, and Thought Like a Monk was fabulous. I must confess that after the virus pretty much shut down everything last year, I lost all motivation and forward movements.

I will admit to feeling lost about where I wanted to go in 2021, so I have not set up any goals for 2021. I actually know what I want to focus on, but as I am still working through Dannielle Laport Free and Clear Course, I am just going to hold back on what it is publicly for right now.

But this book, Think Like a Monk, got me thinking about what I was put on earth to do… My “Dharma,” so to speak. I am still unsure of what it IS, but I am thankful that this book points me in the right direction. At the end of every chapter, he has questions to help guide you, and for that reason alone, I think it would be better to buy the ebook or paper book. I am more of a visual learner, so I buy the ebooks on books I really want to understand. I really want to keep the book’s contents with me. I almost always buy the ebook because you can ever lose an ebook as it always up in the cloud, and it is always right there with you!

One of the things that I really liked hearing was telling the kind of person a person is by treating others. That was one of my favorite sentence in the entire book. There are a million more where that came from. So if you are like me, you are sort of lost and looking for some direction, You MUST get a copy of Think Like a Monk.
