I am making a resource library related to all things Book Blogging. I want to know what YOU want to see in the Resource Library, so I made a short survey. It will only take a minute to fill out. Click here to go fill the survey out.
This is sad. I am trying to remember what happened last week and the only thing I can come up with is waking up in the kitchen table having an imaginary conversation with an invisible person and when I woke up, I mean woke all the way up mm was telling trying to find out what drugs I took. It turns out I have adverse effects from the Ambien. Not only do I have conversations with people that exist only in my head but my short-term memory is declining. So no more Ambien for me. Instead, I am looking at more holistic remedies. One example of this is Young Living extension oils. I will admit that at first, i was skeptical but after a few weeks of using oils that make u sleepy, I can tell a huge difference. My FitBit tells me that I am sleeping better also. Here to hoping I can get 10 good hours of shut-eye before the year is over. As for my poor brain, I am also hoping that since I stopped the Ambien that i will not be stupid for the rest of my life.
Once I realized that the closest gym is 45 mins away, I quickly forgot my plans of working out there. Luckily you can do BBG 1.0 at home. I went and bought a kettlebell and dumbells. I also purchased some jumping rope, and that should be all that I need for my workouts.
In case you missed it..this is what I posted on the Blog last week

I finally have momentum going with my blog and writing. Now to get back to reading. I know that I will start reading a lot more now that we are heading into the dark days of winter. I seem to read more during the winter than I do any other time of year. I am not exactly sure how winter is in the south now, but I do know that in Cleveland it was winter eight months out of the year so when it was too damn cold to go anywhere I reread..alot..we shall see how bad it gets here.
I finally made it to the library! At first glance, it may not seem like it has anything. What most people have no idea of is that you can make you a list of books and then take it to a librarian and they will order them for you. This goes for noth ILL loans and new books for the library. When I to some family members this, it blew thier minds. So I am guessing that the people who would benefit the most from the services that the local library offers here have no idea that is even a service! You cant order them yourself for somereason, so I tend to go to the library once a week, and I make a list of five to 10 books I want and give it to my faveorite librarian and in two to three weeks the books arrive. The books I have listed here the library already had but I did put in an order for five books throug the ILL
Echo in the Walls- I saw this on another’s bloggers page and I liked the sound of it so when I saw it at the library i got it not knowing it was the second book in a series. I am one of those people that HATES reading a seris out of order. I wish books came with a warning sign I AM NUMBER 10 IN X SERIES! Then it would be easier to read all the things in thier proper order Since I already have the book I will go ahead and read it and if I like it, I will hunt down the first book.
Between the Blade and the Heart- I am blanking on where I heard if this book before. And it is not in my to read tracker so it will remain a mystery. I like the synopsis though so I have high hopes for this book.
Do you read more in the winter? or Do you prefer to read books in a series in order or are you fine with them out of order?
.
I do hope that you get your medications under control. Ambien sounds scary. I haven’t had a chance to visit the public library in my new town yet. I haven’t needed to with over 2000 unread books here at my house. The nearest branch is just a couple of miles from my house – about a five minute drive. I read a lot year round but do read more in the winter because baseball is over and I don’t watch much other television. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
wow, you have 2000 unread books at your house??? Lucky you lol
Sorry about the Ambien. I’ve heard that it can make people do weird things. Hopefully something else works for you. Enjoy your new books!
Than You and yeah he dr was telling me and my mom that at least I did not get into my car and drive I was like OMG that has actually happened???
OMG at the Ambien! But I’ve heard that happens to a lot of people. How scary though. I’m glad you’re finding alternates to the Ambien, too.
Between the Blade and the Heart looks good, I’ve heard great things about Amanda Hocking!
My list!
yeah, the Dr was telling me and my mom some of re st=tuff people had done like getting into their cars and drive while on Ambien… I was all like OMG!
Good luck with the sleep issues. My weekly updates
Thank Yoi!!
How lucky to be able to get the books you want through your library.
Hope the sleep issue resolves itself.
yep it is@
me too!
I have been using YL essential oils for four years now and swear by them. Try orange essential oil on your left nostril before you go to bed, you may have to dilute it if it feels too hot. It is amazing! Enjoy your books.
I will have to try that trick tonight!
I need to try that trick!
My local library is under construction right now so I’m relying heavily on ILL (even before the construction I did a lot of ILLs because our branch was tiny). Thankfully we can request books online and we have 3 days a week that we can pick up. I hope you get better sleep. I battle insomnia for a while and I felt like crap. See what I read this month at Girl Who Reads
