April 2018 Goals

I can’t believe it is April! I am not where I want to be professionally this year yet, but I have learned hard lessons about how I spend my time online. I use an app called Exist.io (affiliate link), and it showed me that I have a huge procrastination problem. I am taking steps to correct as I will explain below. I hope that by the time the second quarter is over I will be a more pleased at my progress.

Write Monday through Thursday and edit Friday

This is the biggest one. IT trips me up all the time when I try an to write and edit on the same day. I ALWAYS find mistakes later on in my writing, and it is never my best work, and honestly, my clients deserve better than what I have been giving. So I have decided that Monday through Thursday I will work on content creation ONLY then on Friday and if I need to on Saturday, I will focus on editing. Hopefully, this will allow my blog readers and clients to see the best of me.

Continue doing BBG

OMG, you guys… This program is fucking magic. Wait till you see this months progress pic on the 8th. I took a pic last week and showed it to some friends, and all of them were like HOLY SHIT. I do follow her eating plan also. Mostly. Heh, Goyya have my Halo Top ice cream sometimes. The program is really hard I am not gonna lie but dan it works. It took r TWO years struggling with Weight Watchers, to go from 320 to 280. It took me on BBG TWO MONTHS to lose that much! Taking progress pics used to be a source of frustration. Now my mouth drops open when I look at where I was in

January when I started to now.

Focus on building my email list

I have slacked on this. That is not good as your email list is the most valuable asset in business. I hate even WROTE a newsletter for a few weeks. Melyssa Griffin shared some tips on this in her membership site, and I have it printed out, and all I need to get it out and follow it as I did before and my email list started gaining steam then I …slacked off

Make use of freedom every day

I have been using an app called exist.io to track my productive time vs. my not getting any shit done time and wow I procrastinate on da internets far more than I thought.  I will aim for five productive hours a day to start with and to help me achieve that I am gonna start blocking all websites and apps from 1-5pm and only focus on writing. The world won’t end if I don’t post to twitter every 10 minutes. I am warning people now that for April at least I will be unavailable from 1-5 pm every day.

Make a schedule and stick to it.

I have mapped out when I feel most productive, and that is in the morning after I work out. After I ding my morning routine instead of social media and emails, I am reserving that time for client and blog work only. After I have completed what I need to THEN, I will read blogs and emails.

Get into a skin care routine

I have been seeing other people post their skincare routines and I realized that I don’t have one. I am getting to the age where I need to start one if I am too look good as an older adult. So I am going to start.

Finish a HUGE client Project

I am giving my self of firm deadline of having the first draft done this month. I work best under deadlines, so I have told a friend that if I do not get a solid first draft done by the last day of April, I will write a check for 500 to Trump. That will light a fire under my ass.

  1. Good luck with your goals! I’m also going to try scheduling in April. Hopefully I’ll be more productive and spend less time screwing around on Twitter.
